About Continuing Professional Development Center (CPDC)

The Continuing Professional Development Center (CPDC), as a provider of continuing professional education so crucial for practicing competently and ethically, was founded in 2024 by Zdenka ACIN, a multiple-awarded educator for excellency of teaching immigration, refugee and citizenship law, and the member in good standing of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) with an upgraded licence to Class L3 RCIC-IRB – Unrestricted Practice. Being a person who is committed to life-long sharing of knowledge, skills, expertise, and experiences, Zdenka applies her passion and dedication to immigration, refugee and citizenship issues in her work at Immigra International; at the CICC Mentorship Program as a Mentor of new immigration consultants; at the preparatory tutoring for the CICC RCIC Entry-to-Practice Licensing Exam & the IRB Specialization Exam as well as an educator of CPD seminars and student-centered and student-oriented teaching of Immigration Legal Assistants Diploma Program at Ashton Collage.

Hence, the CPDC maintains and enhances the concept of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), which refers to the process of lifelong learning, and self-improvement for Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs), a Regulated International Student Immigration Adviser (RISIAs), immigration lawyers, and paralegals, who are obliged to complete 16 hours of CPD each year by participating in the CICC-approved activities. This process can include attending seminars, participating in online courses and webinars, workshops, conferences, teaching or writing, and engaging in other activities that help to expand knowledge and skills in their field of immigration, refugee and citizenship matters.

The primary goal of CPDC is to ensure that immigration, refugee and citizenship professionals stay up to date with the latest developments in their field so that they can provide the highest quality of service to their clients.

All in all, the concept of continuing professional development (continuing professional education) encompasses growth in the entirety of skills and knowledge so needed to practice ethically and competently, and be on the top of the immigration consultancy profession.
